We have been working with WEBER for quite some time now, always receiving high-quality drawings, CAD models, and thorough CAD models as well. Most of the information is provided to us through AOIs and function blocks, and clearly written instruction manuals. Whether it’s the first time you have done it or we have done it twenty times now, it’s always an easy process to get started with.
The documentation and the instructions we get are literally, I think, anybody could do it. We are machine builders, so it’s kind of second nature to us, but the instructions if you follow that, there’s zero way to mess the system up. When we receive electrical information from WEBER it’s always clean and well documented. It's an easy system to integrate, the documentation is always top-notch.
They put in the work up front to make the end product easy. The quoting team is great to work with. My project management on, I think the eight systems we have now has been unbelievable to work with. Great guy on top of everything: schedules, updates, changes is a big one. As far as working with us and being flexible with items they already have on their floor so deliveries aren’t impacted so much. Getting updated engineering information when those changes may happen.
Flexibility has been key
I would love it if everything stuck to the original schedule and nothing changed, but unfortunately, in this business, you have to be able to adapt.
When those situations come up it’s always easy to go back to WEBER and discuss customer changes that they have relayed to us. WEBER is always a great partner in helping us achieve the customer's end goal, so achieve something works well for everybody.
On a current project, we had a mid-process part change, it was a surprise to everybody, and through project management and WEBER, there was not a beat skipped. It was just business as usual. It was fixed within weeks. Having a contact that I can email and talk directly to, those are big. Having those upfront really makes my job easier. That's something I have experienced over the years. It's been good communication and good upfront information. Helps me get my job done, and at the end of the day, that's always a good thing.
