How Automation within Screwdriving Applications Can Make or Break Your Target Cycle Time

When comparing manual processes to automated screwdriving applications, cycle time targets are easier to hit when using robotics. Feed While You Drive   

In most assembly lines, the feeder's arm makes multiple movements to feed the screw. The arm moves up and down every time your operator drives a screw and time is lost, greatly undercutting into your cycle time. With WEBER, you can literally drive screws twice as fast because the operator doesn’t have to wait before driving in the next fastener with their feed-while-you-drive feature.

As you are driving a screw, the WEBER system is feeding into the next one. That way, your operator isn’t waiting for the system to feed another fastener into the driver. This increases production and improves cycle time.

Vision Depth Sensor
